Coupons? Where? How?

I find most of my coupons in the Sunday paper (inserts include Red Plum, Smart Source and Proctor & Gamble), All You Magazine and at the following sites:

Also, the following sites let you know the when, where and how of great deals DAILY!

A few quick tips for beginners:
  • Use your coupons on items that are already on sale (even clearance!). Check store ads and match up your coupons before leaving the house.
  • Lots of grocery items hit rock bottom prices a few times a year. When you see a super low price, buy enough to last a few months. Note: I did not say fill seventeen carts with croutons just because you can get them for free.
  • Stack coupons: you may use a manufacturer coupons and a store coupon.
  • You may need to break your items into several transactions for maximum savings potential. Don't hog the only cashier in the store. If a line is forming behind you, make one transaction and go to the back of the line. Help give couponers in your area a good rep.
  • WalMart allows overages! Apply overages to other items in your cart.
  • Organize, organize, organize!
  • Print store coupon policies and take them with you. Some cashiers are unfamiliar with the store policy, POLITELY show it to them. Once you become an amazing couponer, cashiers will recognize you. Be nice to them and they'll likely be nice to you.
  • Don't photocopy coupons. That's illegal.
